I’m a Kiwi-born, Aussie-based journalist with a lifelong passion for travel, words, photography and adventure. Raised in a military family and schooled early in Asia, I’ve since explored around 50 countries and worked in places as diverse as India, Bolivia and Oman, experiences that shaped my storytelling and love of discovery.

With more than 25 years’ experience in publishing and journalism, working across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, I bring a global perspective shaped by busy newsrooms, in-depth storytelling and a lifelong passion for communication. Over the years I’ve developed a strong instinct for what makes a story connect, whether that’s creating compelling narratives, writing sharp, engaging copy or crafting headlines that immediately capture attention.
My writing style is clean, concise and purposeful, built on the belief that every word should earn its place. From feature articles and profiles to travel writing and cultural commentary, I know how to uncover the human element that turns a good story into a memorable one. I’m equally comfortable shaping editorial direction, refining tone and structure, or polishing copy until it is clear, impactful and reader-focused.
Alongside writing, I have a strong visual sense and understand the importance of imagery in storytelling. I’ve worked closely with photographers, designers and editors to create stories that are not only informative but immersive.
Having travelled to almost 50 countries, I draw on a broad range of experiences and cultures, bringing curiosity, authenticity and insight to every piece I create.
